When a member cancels a membership, ARMember shows a short popup asking for the reason before the cancellation goes through.
The admin sets the list of reasons in General Settings: add, edit, delete and drag to reorder.
An “Other” option always appears last and lets the member type their own reason, up to 250 characters.
The reason is saved with the subscription.
Admins can read it on Manage Subscriptions and include it in cancellation emails with the {ARM_MESSAGE_CANCELLATION_REASON} tag.
The add-on works with Membership Retention, and when it’s turned off, cancellation works exactly as before.
So, this will be very useful to understand the improvements on the website!
